Spinning Yarns: Afternoon Tea and Storytelling

You’re invited to join us for an intergenerational gathering around shared craft tables, looms, and tea cups.
Across cultures, weaving and sharing tea are acts of patience, intention, and community. Participants are invited to sip tea while contributing to a collective weaving project, working on small hand looms. As threads are passed and patterns are formed, storytelling naturally emerges – about place, climate, family, and the ways we adapt and support each other. In short, this is a shared act of resilience.
Join us for this cozy event, surrounded by the Voices of Resilience exhibit, as we practice creative expression, community care, and environmental stewardship.

Voices of Resilience is a powerful multimedia exhibit and story panel series featuring Nashvillians whose lived experiences in a shifting climate tell us what’s happening now and how to achieve greater resilience.
This event is presented by Urban Green Lab in partnership with Tennessee State University, Turnip Green Creative Reuse, Eat Bubbles, and local artists Leandra Crystal and Dr. Meg Jordan.
Thank you to the Tennessee Titans ONE Community for generously sponsoring Voices of Resilience.
