Camille Mayle

(she/her/hers)

Director of Partnerships

Camille joined Urban Green Lab in 2024 as the Director of Partnerships. She believes relationships are foundational to a sustainable life because, in the pursuit of sustainability, we forge renewed relationships with ourselves, with others, and with the environment.

A native of Asheville, NC, Camille discovered a passion for sustainable agriculture in her early twenties and spent ten years dedicated to small-scale, diversified farming. She WWOOFed (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) across the US and Canada, gaining a rich knowledge of many diverse ecosystems.

In 2014, her farming career took her overseas to Liberia, West Africa, where she worked alongside women and men from the nearby village to grow food on the school farm at Rick's Institute.

In addition to her background in farming, Camille also worked for a nonprofit that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During her tenure, she generated strategic partnerships and built a successful social enterprise program that continues to empower individuals with confidence and job skills so they can find meaningful employment.

Camille moved to Nashville in 2019 after meeting her now-husband, and they live with their son on the east side in the house where her husband grew up. Camille enjoys flower and vegetable gardening, making kombucha, foraging for berries, and finding new hiking trails to explore.
