We’ve recently launched a new interview series called Sustainable Nashville Live! The purpose of this series is to open a dialogue between the public and organizations that are contributing to the great work around sustainability here in Nashville. Below is our schedule for June.
Coming up this month:
- Jenn Harmann is the Waste Reduction Program Manager at Metro Nashville Public Works. While new to the role she brings 8 years of expertise and experience in community education and 6 years in digital communications to work towards Nashville’s zero waste goals.
- Nora Kern is the Executive Director of Walk Bike Nashville (WBN), a grassroots non-profit dedicated to making Nashville more walkable, bikeable and livable. She is passionate about sustainable transportation and building a better Nashville.
- Ally Miller is the program manager of Turnip Green Creative Reuse, which is a non-profit reuse store that accepts donated art and craft supplies. Ally oversees TGCR’s education branch, which reached over 30,000 people during 2019 with environmental and creative programming.
- Jeannie Hunter is the Tennessee Regional Director of the Society of St Andrew which is a national nonprofit that works with farmers and volunteers to prevent food waste and decrease hunger.
