Communications Manager

Katie Miller is the Communications Manager at Urban Green Lab. She oversees marketing, communications, and community relations to share the story and impact of how Urban Green Lab teaches communities to live sustainably.

Originally from South Carolina, Katie moved to Nashville to pursue a degree in Strategic Communication from Lipscomb University. There, a small interest in the outdoors and sustainability transformed into a passion under the teaching of multiple professors and peers. From making zero-waste swaps around the house to researching the implications of our purchases and understanding purchasing power, Katie is continually learning what it looks like to prioritize sustainability in everyday decisions.

Most recently, Katie created, executed, and managed communication strategies for multiple clients at a Nashville-based PR and marketing agency, gaining valuable experience in various industries such as hospitality, healthcare, nonprofits, housing, and more.

Katie believes effective communication begins with building authentic relationships.

In her free time, Katie loves gardening and spending time in the sun. Katie enjoys attending Nashville SC games with her husband and sitting down with a cup of tea and a good book every chance she gets.
