Nicole Brose serves as the Workplaces Program Manager with the goal of inspiring businesses and organizations in Middle Tennessee to integrate sustainability into their culture through educational programming.
Her passion for sustainability stems from her love for animals and preserving their natural environments. She grew up in Texas and lived in Orlando, FL while attending university before finally settling down in Middle Tennessee in 2015.
She has an extensive background in the entertainment, hospitality, and facility management industries. Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida and is currently earning her master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University. While completing her undergraduate degree, Nicole spent time working and interning for a variety of music festivals, event venues, and hotels studying marketing and operations. Additionally, she worked at Walt Disney World for four years and spent a year as an animal interpreter at the Texas State Aquarium.
Prior to joining Urban Green Lab, she worked at Country Music Television (CMT) as the Senior Facility Coordinator where she was responsible for project management, vendor relations, and sustainability. During her tenure, Nicole launched an office composting program for CMT’s 250 employees which created zero-waste breakrooms, founded a green team, held monthly educational sessions, and increased CMT’s waste diversion from 30% to nearly 70%.
Nicole’s experience in creating a sustainable workplace, combined with her education and prior experiences will help Nicole to work successfully with businesses in Middle Tennessee to establish and meet their sustainability goals.
In her own time, Nicole loves watching horror movies with her husband, traveling, wine tasting, and spending time in the outdoors with her dog.
