At Urban Green Lab, we are a team. If you love behavioral education and protecting our planet’s limited resources, and want to sustain them for generations to come, this is your place. With a flexible weekday work-life balance, and group health and retirement benefits, Urban Green Lab is where your passion meets our productivity. We're searching for positive, professional, adaptable, entrepreneurial, humble team-players with a sense of equity, environmental justice, and humor who listen closely to the people we serve and look outside the box for answers to big challenges. We need you.

Volunteer with Us
Volunteering with Urban Green Lab is a wonderful way to demonstrate your commitment to sustainable living. Whether you help tell our story at a community event, set up for a larger event, or support us with specific skills like design, grant writing, education, or technical expertise, your time is very valuable to us.
We do not have volunteer opportunities very often, but please complete our sign up form to let us know you are interested and we will send you a message when one arises.
Internships & Fellowships
Urban Green Lab offers limited opportunities for internships and fellowships in either the programmatic or administrative sides of the organization. We will advertise in this space when they are available. Both internships and fellowships are structured to help the student reach their goals while contributing to the overall success of Urban Green Lab. We want our students to gain skills and experience in a nonprofit environment as well as exposure to the sustainability field.
They last for a semester's length (approximately 12 weeks), although exceptions can be made upon request. Internships are available to high-school or college aged students and are part-time temporary paid employment opportunities. Fellowships are available for college students only and are unpaid opportunities to earn college credit.
Equal Opportunity Employment
Urban Green Lab is fully committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to attracting, retaining, developing, and promoting the most qualified employees without regard to their race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic prohibited by state or local law. Urban Green Lab prohibits harassment based on race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, or veteran status.
