Thanks in part to the urban heat island effect\, local average temperatures have already risen 3.4°F in recent decades—more than twice the global average increase of 1.6°F. \nSo let’s do something about it the best way we know how: ice cream. \n🍦 Join us anytime from 4–7 p.m. this Thursday\, August 13th at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in East Nashville (1892 Eastland Ave.) for an ice cream social fundraiser! \n25% of all sales will benefit Urban Green Lab\, supporting our work to create a more sustainable\, resilient Nashville for everyone—from advocating for solutions to extreme heat to centering the voices of communities most impacted by climate change. \nBring a friend\, grab a scoop (or two…or three!)\, and Cool Off for a Cause. \nWe’ll see you at Jeni’s! 💚

Join us following the 11:00 AM morning service for a community potluck luncheon\, a panel conversation with featured voices from the exhibit\, and an afternoon of art\, food\, and connection. \nWhat to Expect \n🍲 Community Potluck — Bring a dish to share that reflects your own food tradition\, culture\, or community. All are welcome at this table. \n🎤 Panel Conversation — Featured Voices of Resilience storytellers will share their experiences of climate resilience\, community\, and what it means to build something together in the face of change. \n🍞 Bread Exchange — Bring a baked loaf — homemade or store-bought\, no judgment here. Leave a loaf\, take a loaf. A simple\, generous act of community.
