SUMMARY:SiTC: Getting Outside and Into Community
DESCRIPTION:Cities and green space; opposites or a perfect match? We may sometimes feel disconnected from the natural world and those around us living in a city\, but if we take a moment to look around there are natural spaces abound right here in our very own Nashville! Join us for a discussion with Farm in the City’s Dr. Hemalatha Gokhale and Bellevue Edible Learning Lab’s Missy Hamilton where we will discuss how making space for communities to thrive outdoors helps Nashville prioritize sustainability everywhere. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Registration required to view live. \n_____________________________________________ \nHosted by Zero Waste Nashville and Urban Green Lab\, “Sustainable in the City” features interviews\, webinars\, and panel discussions with Nashville’s top experts in all areas of waste and sustainability. \nBethany EdwardsBethany serves as the Director of Best Practices at Urban Green Lab. She runs the Nashville Sustainability Roundtable\, the Sustainable Nashville Directory\, and B Tennessee. Off the clock\, you’ll find Bethany outside working in her garden\, digging through an estate sale\, reading\, and traveling as often as she can.
